The HotForge Bent Gate Carabiner is a modern take on the classic keylock carabiner and is a smooth operator designed for the rope-end of a quickdraw. Its bent gate is super easy to clip, and the carabiner also features a large rope-bearing surface for ultra-durability. With hot-forged construction—removing weight where it's not needed and adding material where durability is key—the HotForge includes a deeper basket for better clipping, while the hinge-end basket is flatter to help quickdraw webbing stay securely in place. The larger rope-bearing surface enhances durability for both the carabiner and the rope, while flats on the gate reduce the chance of accidental gate opening. The updated, optimized nose geometry allows for efficient clipping and unclipping from bolts.
